Catching up since Christmas

Oh my oh my, what a long month.  As my month of breathing a sigh of relief from MIT is ending I've been thinking of my time off.  It has definitely been exciting and jam packed with exciting things.
Going all the way back I had a fantastic Christmas surprise.  Douglas was a total romantic sweetheart and surprised me with this!
OMG! I was beside myself
Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favourite movies, and he came up with the card all on his own!  (I Googled it and checked that he made it up)  I couldn't believe he was so sweet to remember the Cracker Jack ring.  As soon as we got back to Boston I booked it over to Tiffany's and picked out this lovely necklace.

I am in love and haven't taken it off since I got it.  It's also nice to have something from Doug with me all the time.
To round out a perfect day we had our traditional brunch at the Parker House.  This is my all time favourite thing to do when Doug visits.  The food is always good and I love being in a room with so much history.
Doug is 21 so I finally got to try one of the Mimosas I've been eyeing for some time
We finished the day with a walk through the Commons, looking at the ducks and just enjoying each other's company.

We've fallen into a routine of Parker House and the Commons, but it doesn't bother me at all.  Sometimes rushing to try new things takes a lot of energy, and we can focus more on each other doing something familiar.  It was an absolutely lovely time, and I can't wait for Doug to be back in the city.

This post was way overdue, but tomorrow I'll finish up what I've been up to lately.
